  • Superior to any other system available, our Image Control system maintains color consistency by matching the dots of your image—where it’s important to you—not by matching color bars
  • By using spectrophotometry, we achieve and maintain the color you specify


Spectrophotometry:
Controlling 160,000 Points

  • By the use of spectrophotometry, we scan each point on your press sheet
  • Once scanned, the LAB color for each point is recorded
  • As sheet after sheet passes through the press, additional scans are made and the press is adjusted electronically in order to maintain the approved color
  • When your next signature is on press, we use the original color information in order to match your approved color preferences


Spectrophotometry vs. Densitometry: A Visual Comparison

Densitometers: The actual visual appearance of the color is not taken into consideration

Densitometers: They only can provide a single dimension of evaluation for color

Spectrophotometry: The three dimensional color-relevant LAB values can be obtained

LAB Color

By determining the LAB Color values of up to 160,000 points, we maintain consistent color accuracy.

L  represents the Lightness component of a color

A  indicates the color value ranging from green to red

B  indicates the color value ranging from blue to yellow
